Default 1969 Orange Houndstooth Material, Is this NOS, bought in 1989 from C.A.R.S.

I have some orange houndstooth material that is suppose to be NOS. It was purchased many years ago (pretty sure it was 1989) from C.A.R.S in Michigan.
I was told that C.A.R.S. had bought the remaining material from GM and was selling it. A local guy had bought this right around 1989 from them and it is still in the original box that it was sent in.
Does anyone know how to tell if it is GM material or a reproduction. There is suppose to be a difference in the pattern on many of the reproduction materials sold throughout the years.
I have quite a large piece, around 54 square feet but I have not unfolded it to check.
Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Default Comparison of NOS Hounstooth Patterns

First pictures are comparisons of NOS patterns and the last picture is comparison of the repro seat covers. From thread on this site. Looks pretty close, what do you think?

It’s pretty close. With the top down, and a beautiful girl in the passenger seat no one is going to look at the pattern. I understand the passion for correctness, though.

The yellow is mine. The very last picture is covers made by CARS in about the same time frame as the NOS orange material. The NOS yellow I have is also from CARS....Joe

From what I see the material is NOS. I will measure it out and be putting it up for sale as I cannot ever see myself using it. Now the question is what is a fair price to ask. From what I know it was quite expensive to buy from C.A.R.S back then. Thanks.

If you find any yellow cloth and/or yellow vinyl, contact me 520-490-6093. I've had a yellow/yellow car since 1981 that needs & deserves the original stuff...Joe

Default 1969 Camaro NOS Houndstooth Material

I have posted this material for sale now in the For Sale section. If interested please view post. It is very hard to price this material since there is nothing around to compare prices to. I think my asking price is fair, but if seems out of line, let me know. Thanks.
