I believe it had an iron intake, so no.

this is the one that was in Suoer Chevy a bunch of years ago, correct? If so, I helped the second owner get it into Super Chevy at Devonshire d
…where Doug Marion met up with the owner at that time. I brought my brothers 1967 RS/SS 396 Camaro to the same show.

if it’s the same one…then Fred Koenig from Pavilions also owned it for a while as well. Neat Camaro!

Yes, it was featured in Super Chevy magazine decades ago and was at the Super Chevy show too. Jim King may have been the owner's name at the time if I am remembering correctly. The headrests and a couple of other options were added after being in the magazine.

Yep...same car! Jim King is who I got into Devonshire Downs. He showed me the ad for the car..from the LA Times (I think). It was a very vague ad. Jim was a really nice guy. We cruised both big blocks around Devonshire Downs that weekend. Those were some fun times. I think Bob Ashton found me the Super Chevy magazine a few years ago

Fred Koenig from Pavilions owned it later on. I will find some pics when we get home

Hey PeteLeatherSac...can you search the LA Times for the WET283 license plate wanted ad? It said 1967 Chevy 396 red convertible...or something like that He had it with him in 1981

Here's an interesting period photo of WET 283 taken sometime between 1980-82 at a friend's house. Note in the photo it wore rallys.
