Is this your engine or are you looking to buy it?

You'd think the guy would contact the owner of the car and offer it to him before he auctions it off. Would be the right thing to do.

He says in his ebay ad he has already located the car....so I assume he knows who owns it.

From the eBay auction wording...

"IF YOU LOOK IT UP IN THE REGISTRY YOU WILL FIND IT THE VIN NUMBER IS 124379N615842 AND THE BEST PART I HAVE LOCATED THE CAR AND THE CONTACT INFO WILL BE GIVEN TO THE WINNING BIDDER !! "

Methinks something is rotten in Denmark here. The seller claims to know where the original car is, claims to know the contact info for the car owner, and yet he chooses to sell the engine via an eBay auction???

I would guess for whatever reason the Seller and the car's current owner did not agree on the value of the engine hence it is now on Ebay. Don't see any problem with selling the engine on ebay as the car owner can bid if he chooses.

That's what I am thinking as well...
