Default Tristate/NYC area -- roads salted today?

Just had a question for those living in the NYC/NJ area. We got some snow today, at least there was in Yonkers. Question is, did they unnecessarily throw salt on the roads yet, or am I still able to drive my car?

Thanks

I live in northern NJ, and work in NYC., I drive in. I saw no salt dropped anywhere.

I just talked to a friend who lives in Yonkers, and he has said the same, he saw no salt.

Thanks, really appreciate it. I figure if I can squeeze in a couple more weeks of driving, the better. It's supposed to be back in the mid-50s in the next couple days, so I can't see why not.

Great time of year to get the last few rides in . The cars really like the cooler weather.

Speaking about Salt in the Northeast, My father in law has a 2004 Suburban, I have a 2004 Tahoe. F.I.L has made about 5-6 trips a year to upstate NY since the vehicle was new, including a bunch in the winter. He hopped in the truck the other day and the brake pedal went to the floor (truck has 70k and is very well maintained), looked underneath, all the brake lines were rotted out along with a good bit of frame/body metal, he then looked at my truck, totally clean (my truck rarely leaves Long Island). That is a perfect example of the destructive power of the salt here in the Northeast.
