Default 67-69 camaro stinger hood (fiberglass or steel)

My 68z came from Nickey Chevrolet and it never had a stock hood for long, but its now damaged, so would like to get a hood that would support the air cleaner set up like an L88 corvette. I have seen finished cars, but dont know which hood out there supports that setup.

Wide choice of repops available steel or fiberglass. I would find someone with first hand experience regarding fit before purchasing.

If you are interested in a vintage fiberglass hood that needs some work, check your message box. Sent you a PM.

that hood appears to be warped quite a bit - that's the problem with most that you will find.

I bought a VFN,needed to do some trimming here and there to get it to fit but they all do. The body lines were great. Actually bought it factory direct and being a dealer they gave me a discount.

Thanks for that input. I plan to drive over there and check them out. Hard to pass up a local option and the price. I also can ask them how does one replicate that hood on that gold car, it looks like a 427 corvette L88 aircleaner was added to the bottom, but different than the one they offer. And yes that gold car has a non tolerable bow.

When I was working on the bow I had in my hood, I was told some tricks using bags of sand, 2x4s and sunlight etc.

I think I've seen a steel version of this hood in some catalogs: https://www.classicindustries.com/pr...E&gclsrc=aw.ds
