Vintage Yenko Decals
I recently found a couple old original Yenko decals from the late 60's. Both are in mint condition, the Yenko Tuned one is red printing on a clear vinyl background. I've seen the Yenko Tuned one before. Has anyone seen the stinger one before? Are these desirable, maybe the Corvair guys?

Re: Vintage Yenko Decals
Yes, both are desirable - for memorabilia collectors and for Yenko car owners. I know I searched for the original Yenko Tuned decals for my car. The Stinger decal is geared primarily towards the Corvair crew though.

Re: Vintage Yenko Decals
The round Stinger one is an original. On ALL of the re-pops, the bee was never done in black like the original. Mark Gillespie is working and has maybe finished having a run made with the correct black bee. The round metal foil decals are Corvair only.
The Yenko Tuned decal was used on all of the Yenkos if I am correct.

Re: Vintage Yenko Decals
Not for sure why Mark would bother to reproduce the Stinger decal, as there are 100s out there, maybe 1000s, all original, bought from the estate, I have several and know someone who has several hundred.

Re: Vintage Yenko Decals
there are two different Yenko Stinger decals.
The one used on the Stinger car and the one used as a promo. The one used on the car is a special made decal and is hard to find. I have a box of items from the Yenko estate sale with original Stinger promo decals and Yenko tuned decals and other dealer items. They are cool Yenko items that can be found at a good price as there were many made of the promo Stinger decals. I don't know why anyone would repop those so Mark must be doing a repop of the Stinger car decal |

Re: Vintage Yenko Decals
This summer I had a small run of the embossed metal Stinger decals (ones used on the cars) made using originals supplied by Mark G for the template. They turned out great. There is definately a demand for them, and I have sold quite a few with little or no advertising.
