Reproduction 1969 Camaro steering wheel 3939731
Is this wheel smooth or pebble grained? Anybody have any opinions about the quality of this reproduction? Thank you, Joe

It's smooth. Quality of the wheel itself isn't bad, but the color of the plastic they are molded in isn't black enough, if that makes sense. I think if you were to paint one a deep gloss black it would look more like original.

I do understand it's not black enough. I'm guessing the grained wheel is not being made?
Thank you, Joe

No it is not. Gary's Steering Wheel Restoration in Carlisle PA can add grain to a smooth wheel, it looks close, but if you compare it side by side to a real grained wheel there's an obvious difference.
