Default Looking for Superior “The 500” Wood Wheel Knowledge

What I am after is when the simulated wood with 3 chrome spokes, 4 holes in each spoke like this one:...

1965 Superior 500 Steering Wheel Vintage Box Racing Car Poster Rat Rod Muscle https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F202637967661

...Was made (dates)? Were these simulated wood wheels made at the same time when the identical real wood type wheels were offered? Are they scarce’r than the wood one? I see many more wood ones offered on eBay. Do they command more $$? Less? The same $$?

These are 15 1/2” diameter wheels

I have one that looks identical with one exception the spokes have slots not holes. I'll post a picture.

The attached page is from a 1970 Superior catalog. It shows bot simulated and real wood wheels as being available and also simulated walnut wheels without the rivets so that the rim is similar to what GM offered on their N34 wood wheels. Here's an ebay auction for one without the rivets and these are very uncommon... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1960s-SUPER...893a%7Ciid%3A1

Jon, that helped a lot. So they made the simulated wood at the same time as the wood, at least in that catalog. I guess I was wanting to know which one was offered 1st and how long either was offered?

Don't you just need to know if either are correct for the era of your car? They are.
