His cowl tag and build sheet do not match. It is a Van Nuys cowl tag (BL) whereas Arlington is (BT) and an Arlington build sheet. One number (09419) is on his cowl tag and on the build sheet. His assembly date per the build sheet is 02-06 yet the cowl tag says 10B. Interior and paint codes both match however. All the Arlington sheets I have show the stripe color being "19" whereas most other plants listed it as "B". This sheet says "B". Someone correct me if I am wrong on these points. Something is not right here.

The font of the build sheet looks suspect?

Instant red flag.

If the assembly plant codes don't match on the cowl tag, purported VIN and VIN tag, and build sheet then something is up.

I have many '70 build sheets, but none from Arlington to compare. At a glance the font looks good to me. The sheet not matching the cowl tag is a dead give away that something is wrong whether the seller knows it or not.

Well that cowl tag sure doesn't jive with that Buildsheet.
I didn't see the entire sheet showing ARLINGTON on the bottom, nor that cowl tag upon my first reply yesterday.
A 10B LS-6?,(obviously not), and a green "G" vinyl top sure doesn't match that.
I don't believe that's a real Arlington Buildhseet,as they were unique with at least four major characteristics, none of which this has.
Looks like part of it started out as a Van Nuys sheet.
Plus he picked the wrong assembly plant shown on that buildsheet to represent that Van Nuys cowl tag,as Arlington didn't start making Chevelles till Jan 1970.
