Super Sport Wheel Trim Ring - which ones should I match up ?
Recently bought some SS wheels (1969 - 1970 magnum 500 style), two have the YA code and two have the AO code. The fact that they are two different year codes doesn't bother me... but, they came with two different types of trim rings, and this is something I'd like to learn more about.
I have most often seen the trim ring shown in the right side picture. The trim ring shown on the left side picture also appears to be a GM issued part. But, the left side version seems more heavy duty, definitely heavier in weight. So, as I look to complete a matching set of trim rings, which way should I be looking to go in order to be most "correct" ? Is one version an older version than the other ? Your thoughts appreciated. I have the right-side type ring on my 70 Nova. Not sure if it's OEM factory or NOS. I would like to know also...
