Default Clean Superior 500 foam steering wheel?

Not sure I'm in the right place since it's not really "restoration", but I just got a Superior "The 500" steering wheel off ebay, and even though it's really nice, I'd still like to go ahead and clean the foam rubber grip. I did a Google search on cleaning foam rubber, but they were mostly limited to sofa cushions, yoga mats, etc, but nothing specific about cleaning cushioned steering wheels.

I'm assuming you could use the same procedure as cleaning the factory 1960's "cushion rim" steering wheel, so can anyone suggest a product and/or a method to clean this thing?

Thanks
Ed
