Dan, that green M/T ad was in the April, 1967 Hot Rod. That would make a great garage poster wouldn't it?

Every time I pick up the May, '65 Hot Rod another wheel ad catches my eye. I think this is the last ad in the issue!

Here's "The Birth of American Mags" from the Rodder's Journal number 16 story on Romeo Palamides.

Hey guys having graduated high school in 1965 you'll have gone thru my childhood right here in this thread. There were so many wheels that I had forgot about that I want to thank everyone for keeping it going. And to all of those people that were lucky enough to have the money to actually own some of the wheels back in the sixties have pity on the ones of us that couldn't.

I couldn't afford mag wheels either as all of my cash went into the driveline. For the more impoversihed among us there was good'ol Cal Custom with their "Spider" dress-up kit for stock steelies. Hot Rod, May, 1962.

Anyone ever see a set of these? Looks like they're mounted on a Studebaker Avanti. HRM January, 1964.
