Default Concours Gold Winning 1968 Shelby GT500 KR CVT

This is undeniably rare, unique, and desireable, only 6 red 4spd KR's came equipped with A/C. In the two years since her completion, she's won Concours GOLD four times. She was last judged SAAC Concours GOLD 880/900 possible points. Ever the perfectionist, the owner corrected most all those points and she a 897/900 now. Truly a #1 condition car, she has logged a scant 13 miles.

Offered at $394,995 Located in McHenry, IL Contact Patrick Krook at (847) 838-3749 Visit her Show Your Auto Listing for full photo gallery and Walk Around Video.

Beautiful Car.
Can anyone tell me, I met an Original Owner of an Original 1968 GT500. We met at the Louisville Concours. He asked since a 68 Shelby is a Mustang, that was converted, and in the VIN the code is for a 390 as the 428 was not allowed in a mustang, How do you know that the 68 has a 428 in it? and not a 390?
He bought the car New in 68, Acapulco Blue fastback, and because a salesman in 1971 lowballed him on a trade for a Torino he kept the car. Seems they would only give him $1500 for it in 71 towards the Torino. They said it was a Gas Guzzler and No Body wanted it. Well duh??? Maybe then, but I am sure a lot of people would want it now. Thank God he kept it.
I hope I phrased the question right and sorry to hi-jack the thread, but it at least keeps your car on the top.
Good Luck selling.

The 428 became available in mid-68 all All mustangs, early 68's and 67's still had the 390, so shelby put "police interceptor" 428's in..
Probably the nicest resto i've seen on a Shelby..Do they make repro muffler with the ford part #'s now? Never seen one before..

I believe they do. The restoration of this car actually resulting in producing many new concours quality reproduction parts that we're available before (like the Ford stamped tailpipes)...Thanks for the compliments!
