How long ago did you buy this product? I have a one quart container of GM synchromesh trans fluid that was bought years ago that I have been using in a M-20. I"ll check the number and post back.

I think I have part of a bottle in my shop. I'll look when I get out there.

Just posting back on the trans fluid. The # on mine is 89021808 and it states "Synchromesh transmission fluid. And further the label says "is specifically for use in GM manual transmissions. This product has excellent lubrication properties and does not break down. It withstands high temperatures and functions well in low temperatures. It is an amber colored, light bodied base product that is synthetic blend manual transmission fluid." To my surprise its an unopened bottle. I'm guessing I've had this at least a dozen years. So you can compare the literature on the containers. Frank

More than likely that oil you have is a GL5 and meant for the Tremec, T5 and most NV transmissions. The Muncie and BW T10 and NV4500 use the GL4. I wouldn't recommend using it in your Muncie. The synromesh fluid is generally a 5/30 while the GL4 is a 75/90.

Some GL5 oils can damage the bronze rings and other yellow metals used in the older transmissions.
