Yep..... That's old "Fat Albert". I was lucky enough to get my money back. I notice the vin tag and partial firewall / trim tag are no longer offered with the motor!

Your CRG post is worth repeating if you don't mind me posting it:

"Hi Guys,
I was the member who bought this block originally. Sorry so long in answering, I was on vacatiion and just got back.
This guy is a TOTAL scammer, he has over 10 ebay names, and restamps blocks, VIN tags, and Trim Tags. The trim tag was so good that many thought it was real. Caused quite a stir a while back.

Seller claimed that the block and a wrecked part of a convert were a 69 L78 Convert. After paying, I got the restamped tags, the restamped block and instead of a firewall/body, I was sent some restamped convin metal parts.

It took several months and some contacts with the FBI / his states consumer affairs to make this jerk refund my money. He is in Tennesee, even though some of his ID's show miss and ark.

His mistake with me was to have shipped the items as his auto business, "Fat Alberts" which is how I got consumer affairs involved. After me, he said he is only going to ship personal. In one month, I tracked him on over 20k in sales on "rare" restamps on ebay. After some initial interest at the FBI, my contact was told to drop it as the value was not enough to justify the investiagtion.

Rich"
