Default Look What Followed me Home Yesterday

First of all I need to thank Mark Bulaw for me being able to find this survivor 1970 LT1 Corvette. Mark called me 3 weeks ago and asked me to look at a survivor 73 Z near me, after going to the location, I see this daytona yellow C3 sitting in the one bay. Turns out to be a 2 owner 38k original mile 70 LT1. I am the 3rd owner, the 1st owner is deceased and his neighbor who is now 80 years old bought the car in 1974 with a little over 35k miles and it now has 38k. His wife can no longer get in the car because of her arthritis, so he deiced to get rid of it and he offered to give it to his 23 yr old grandson who lives near me and he did not want it, (good for me Dan & Dave Schutzbank wasn't related to him). It gets better, original born with drivetrain bought new from a local dealer Sunderland Chevrolet in Lemoyne, PA. Yesterday, it was a record 82 degrees and sunshine here in central PA and a great to day to go pick up the car.

Sounds like a great find! (Although isn't it sad that the next generation has little or no interest in these cars??).
Would love to see some (EDIT: more) pictures of the car!

Nice! 4speed?

That grandson needs to be put on a watch list. The boy has some sort of issue.

Yes it has a M-20 w/heavy duty 3.55 posi. I plan on cleaning in the next few weeks and see how the performance compares to my Z, all the spring tags, shock decals etc are still on the car, hoping to find the tank sticker, I have the POP.

Not near as much cleanup to do on this gem as opposed to my other find in 2012 with the monaco orange L89 w/6k org miles that came from Sutliff Chevrolet in Harrisburg, PA. Sutlif Chevrolet is on one side of the river and Sunderland Chevrolet is just 2-3 miles away on the other side of the river. Makes me wish I did not sell the L89, they would look great sitting next to each other. I believe the L89 is now in a big collection in CA.

Fred, No Mark did not buy the 73 Z, it is still For Sale along with a 70 RS/Z and a survivor 72 Corvette LT1 w/40k miles. The owner is Lee Jackson of Jackson Auto Sales in Landisville, PA, you can see the cars on his website. If you need detailed info on the 73, call me.

I remember when the orig owner from Binghamton, NY was selling, and unfortunately he passed and it was sold to someone in Florida a couple of years ago.
