Default 1967 427-390 Pricing Help

I heard about a nice #2 427-390 hp '67 Corvette Coupe, older resto, 4 speed, factory air, PS, PB, in nice colors. I don't know much else about it at this point as I am waiting on more info, but does $80K sound reasonable if everything checks out? That is the top of my budget, so I don't have room to make a mistake on this one I'll post more info when I get it. Thanks for any help that any of you might be able to provide.

Zedder, if the car has the original engine and paperwork, that's in the ballpark. You don't want to have to do lots of correcting little things at that price. Someone had a nice Bloomington Survivor '67 390 maroon coupe for sale for about six months at 79K, it was in the for sale section at Bloomington this year. Original engine and paperwork. I saw it and loved it, I'm not sure why it has not sold, but this should help you with the value of the one you're looking at. A/C adds some value, but certified Survivor in all four areas helps the maroon one.
Color on the one you're looking at helps. Red and blue increased the price as does black (I'm sure it's not black). Good luck and make sure the engine is not a restamp.

Thanks Tim...I know you know these cars inside and out! I'll flip you some info once I get the engine stamp pics etc. $80K is all I have to spend, so I need the car to be right as is. BTW, the car is blue I`ve only owned one `67 and it was an L79...always wanted a big block.

Zedder, that's a good color. If it does not pan out, I think the maroon/black 390 horse Survivor is still available. I don't know who owns it, but a cool car that I considered buying after I saw it for sale at Bloomington Gold.

Thanks Tim. I love Maroon '67's, so I'll have to check into that one. I think I saw it for sale a few months ago on Corvette Forum.
