Default 69 302 or 70 LT1 balancer?

Hello All
Bought this balancer last year assuming it was for a 69 Z28 but on further investigation I think it might be for a 1970 LT1. It appears to be 8 inches in diameter & 1 5/8 thick.
You feedback would be appreciated.

The balancer you bought should work fine. The 70 LT-1 balancer is the replacement for the big "Y" balancer as Ed and Bill have stated.
I believe the big "Y" balancer with the offset timing mark was a one year style.

The number on the block face is the casting number and the 4 digits on the front are usually the last 4 of the GM part number. I'll see if I can find out what '1947' is in any of my reference books.
Timing mark relative to keyway looks to be in the right spot for a 69-on application and as the guys have said, the short spokes are typical of later service replacements and 1970's factory style balancers.

Would different build dates have different balancers?
The car is a Sept. 3, 1969 build date & the engine is original to the car but has been rebuilt once

Should look like BillOhio's.
The offset timing mark is 69 and up. The 67-68 Z/28's and the L79's have the same type balancer as the "assembly line" 69 Z/28 BUT the timing marks are lined up. After 1969 the balancer's were the LT-1 style and the GM replacements for the 69 Z's were the LT-1 style.
