Great shot! Thanks for posting. Most likely an LS6 (Looks like backwards B/S on pass. window - can't tell if there is an 'A' after the B/S)? Still around? Tow tabs and ladder bars look great!

LS-6 Auto, there's a black and white picture on page 4. I don't think it's still around.

interesting that car has painted 'headers by GM', but apparently looks to still have the smog in the photos. Unless my eyes decieve me?? Did any GM headers come with smog fittings?

Ask Kevin DeWitte ("427425&quot, original owner (still owns!) of a white factory L72 Camaro. He had Berger (or Berger recommended) drill dealership installed headers for smog so as not to void factory warranty.

That LS6 is soo cool. It just looks like it means business. No flashy wheels, just steel, and minimal lettering. in the black and white pic it has 11.65 on the window. Is that a competitive ET in B/S in 70-71?

That would be the index for B/SA back then, I'd guess. I'd guess most of the cars in the pictures I'm posting are in the 12's. Pretty much all of them are sporting license plates.

Take a look at the color pic of king rat. It looks like the dial on the pass window says 11.57, and your copyright is 1971. The Black and white pic is 1970, and he has 11.65 on the window. Do you think the index would have gotten slower from 70-71? Not trying to argue with you or anything, im just pointing it out. Also it looks like in the later pics the steelies on the front are mounted on much shorter tires. Maybe he couldnt cut a light with the mags and taller fronts. I would love to know more details about this or any other 70 chevelle drag cars. You dont really see to many besides the famous blue ragtop.
