Default Camaro Owners Manual - In Pink?

I picked up a Canadian Version of the 1970 Camaro Owners Manual, First Edition. I expected it to have a similar brown wood grain cover like the other manuals of this year (like first picture) - but surprise - it appears to be pink! At first I thought the cover may have been sun faded or suffered some strange chemical accident, but upon closer inspection front and back, it really appears to be uniform pink colored ink. Can anyone weigh in? Is this the color it should be, or is this just "wrong"? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

i think its supposed to be red-ish..i have seen one in the past..and i dont remember it being that pale...

to me..it looks like someone used glass cleaner on it to get the stains out and it faded the whole cover...ask me how i know....well ill tell ya...ive done it..ive ruined more than one..lol..and it looks rubbed on...the GM copy is rubbed off..not faded..just an opinion

Pink it is !

I just found this picture included in a for sale listing of a 1970 Camaro with Canadian documentation.

This shows that at least one version of the 1970 Camaro Owners Manual for a vehicle delivered to Canada was PINK!

Now all you Camaro trivia people have a new factoid - pink woodgrain cover - go figure.
