1969 yenko zl1
Hi. I am new to this sight, I thought some of the viewers would like this. 28 years ago I bought a aluminum YENKO 427 engine from a old drag racer. I decided to build my dream car, a YENKO ZL1 camaro, but due to retirement and never driving it, I will post it for sale, with pictures soon.

It's like talking about porn - worthless without pictures or video.

Welcome Chet and sounds like you have a very cool car! Which of the different blocks do you have specifically? ~ Pete .

Sorry for posting too soon without pictures, will take out of storage and post pictures soon. The engine is an early one, casting number 3946052, with the 4.44 bore, zl1 heads and intake.

Sounds like a very cool car. What about a few details about the car to tide us over until you can post pictures? What color combo, drive train combo, engine horsepower......etc.
James

Hi, some more info, car was a plain Jane 6 car in great shape. Now completely rebuilt to resemble a ZL1. 14 inch tires with front disc brakes, 1 inch sway bar, 4 core rad, 4 spd, factory tack, 140 mph Spedo, 12 bolt rear with 410 gears and multi rear springs. Engine rebuilt with new stroke steel crank and went with a roller cam and lifters, 850 double pumper Holley carb, close to 500 c.i., hp unknown due to original 14 inch f 70/14 inch tires no hooking up on Dino, more info to come, thanks to all

Added a few photos to the first post. The forum restricts the size, so only a few. Here are a few more.

Dang that's cool! Next time you have the intake off use the silver or ultra gray RTV so it doesn't show up as much.

That is some good porn! Do you have a price?
Did Yenko have some ZL1 blocks cast just for them?

Yenko bought the molds of the zl1 from Chevy and made his own aluminum big blocks for racing, this is one of them
