Default Baldwin-Motion Iso Grifo

Friends Of Motion:

Check out the latest posting on The Car Guy Chronicles which has links to the Collectible Classic story on my Baldwin-Motion Grifo in the August issue of AUTOMOBILE magazine and a Grifo photo album (A.J. Mueller's images taken during the magazine shoot) on Picassa.

Check it out at http://www.carguychronicles.com/

Hi:
There was only one Baldwin-Motion Iso Grifo--mine. It's at the left end of the photo, next to an AC-428.
The one with the hood bulge is powered by a 427 that had been transplanted elsewhere. The owner bought it from Malcolm Konner Chevrolet with 427 installed. I drove it and it was awesome. It was tuned at Motion. The other one belonged to an airline pilot and was in for tuning. Joel Rosen owned a stock small-block Grifo (Yellow) for about a year around 1970-1971.
I have no idea where the others are today.
Marty

Joe:
Unfortunately living in Florida you don't get to drive cars without AC much between June and October! During the cooler months I do drive it and occasionally show it. During the photo shoot for AUTOMOBILE magazine I probably went through $75 worth of 100 0ctane ($8.00 a gallon) which you can buy at the pumps here!
Engine runs like new (car has under-13,000 miles) and when installed was worked on and tuned by Joel Rosen, Bill Mitchell and Dennis Ferrara.
