Thank you Lee for posting this article. Rest in peace Jack. The Roadrunner was my dream car from 1969 onward. I never did get to own one. The 1968 and 1969 Roadrunners were in my opinion one of the greatest muscle cars of all time. If it weren't for Chrysler stopping production of them after 1974 (the last year for the real Roadrunners in my opinion) I might not have ever become a Chevy man. I got my first full-time permanent job post college in 1975 and wanted to buy a new car. I chose the Camaro and have never owned any other car since.
