Paul, I can send you pics of my POP if you want. There is no 2 under the bow tie. I found remnants of the orig POP under the carpet. The CE short block is dated F of 70. Car was delivered in May. That didn't last long!

Default 1970 z28 Build sheet & Protecto plate info

Thanks for everyones help verifying the build sheet and protecto plate information
I purchased the car, it was loaded on the semi sunday to be transported to me later next week.
Will have some more questions and detailed photo's once it arrives.

2 notes:

Your build sheet may be saying "customer order". I've seen that on some 70 Impala sheets.

Also, if the replacement POP does not have a 2 under the bowtie, then it's probably the original owner on the plate. As others have said, the original owner could have lost it or if there was something incorrectly stamped in it on the plant, like a typo in the vin, it would have been swapped for one of these.
