ID this booster please?
I was digging through the stash and came across this booster. it looks to have the application code off center so some of it was cut off. Does anybody have the codes? an other thing I noticed was the bracket/clip of some sort that was attached to the side of the main bracket. it does not have the delco moraine stamp on it. Any help would be great.

The 228 on the front is of course the Julian calendar date or 228th day of the year. You can barely see it, but that appears to be a number 8 after the 22, making it 228. On the back is the code for the model or application, but that appears to be cut off and only shows 851 maybe? There should be 4 digits but its been cut off or misaligned stamped. Sure looks like 851 for a start of the 4 digit code. That booster looks just like a Camaro/Nova/Chevelle booster, but I'm like you, that special holding bracket has me puzzled. That booster depending on the length of shaft, could be used for several applications like Buick Apollo, Olds Omega, Pontiac Ventura, Early 70's GTO, Nova, Camaro, and maybe Chevelle. I'm sure someone else on here will be of more accurate help.

thanks for the reply. I could not find any booster codes online except the 8515 for the 67/ 68 Camaro. has me baffled too

That's what that booster would be for because if you look closely, you barely see the 1 after the 85. Ive had some that are 9204 and the 4 is missing from mis stamped or misaligned during stamping. Your booster is identical to the 1st gen Camaro and 2nd gen Novas as far as mounting, structure, and the rod clevis, but if its the 8515 and for the 67-68 model Camaro, the rod for the pedal will be a different length if I'm not mistaken. I know the pedals are interchangeable but the 67-68 pedals are different than the 69. The 67-68 have a bend or curve to the pedal arm verses the more straight hanging down of the 69 and later brake pedal.

That might be why the rear rod length is longer than my 9204. Still wondering on the clip on the side. I will email Steve. I have to send him my 69 booster for resto anyways.

I would guess that if you look at the rod going to the brake pedal next to the lock nut, you'll find the code. I'm betting it will say A8 or A0. This is probably a GTO booster that is an 8519. The offset stamp is very common on many Delco Moraine units....

Steve, you are correct! It says A0. Does that make it a 70?
