Neat, I have an old pan clock like that too, except it has a Chevy Service face.

As I type this, this issue below is on my night table beside my bed! Other thatn that, all the other mags are in the basement on selving units.

As I said, I also looked through other Oct. .'68 issues of the "SS" series of mags. Found this one in SS&DI. Who would have ever thought these pictures would be in an Oct. '68 issue?????
I guess this lays to rest the theory that the car was destroyed in a towing wreck. Read the outcome!

The REALLY cool thing was that those top racers back then were flat-towing their cars all over the country (with a 4 year old base model car!) Just imagine: You're carrying "everything" you need in those two cars, then in 2 days you get it fixed and win the next race over 1000 miles away! There are no more icons in drag racing like that anymore!

Hi Ken,
You're right! That's what happens when you're unemployed!! I love this stuff too much, and it's an irresistible draw on my attention.
But from what I've read, you're not wasting any time on your current project either.........

Yeah Pete, I kinda thought it looked right at home on that ~66 year old brick wall. I had an old architect look at it and he thought it was built around 1940. It still had a dirt floor in it when I bought the place in '79.
