There was a car photo a reader sent in to Hot Cars magazine circa 1973/74 in the letter section that was blue/ white and the car was from NJ. It had some wording in the white stripe that was owner applied. (Not the Godfather car from NY)

Same car?? I think it had slot mags.

How or who helped you trace down this documentation? I need to trace down documentation on a car. Thanks Jeff

Hi Jeff. Scott had the VIN run through the NC DMV, requesting just the original selling dealership. He received more than he expected. Definitely got lucky on that one.

Good luck with your document search!

NC dmv gives you everything from day one, even the mso if they have it.

Update to my old post.

Now, about 3 years after moving to and fixing up my new house I'm finally back to work on my 1972 Motion Camaro. I just moved it from my barn to my garage and my 2015 resolution is to get back to the restoration. I could use some help finding some parts though. The car is missing the engine so I'm looking for a good march 1972 or older 454 CE "counter exchange" block, heads and intake, although I haven't researched what intake was used by motion performance, I've seen edelbrock used on them. I will also need a good vintage Hurst "auto stick" shifter and a fly eye air filter.

Thanks,
Scott
