Yes, it was a public road, but not used a lot. There were a couple of small ranches along there, but there was other access.
I don't have any full sized Chevys in this lot of photos. I haven't gone through everything though. It sure is bringing back memories though. I can smell that hot sagebrush right now. This place is just a couple of miles from the US/Canada border as the crow flies. North of Wenatchee Wa. |

No, that ended in 1976. No one would provide insurance for racing on public roads in BC., after that.
Even though they had the support of everyone that mattered in that area. |

In the photo of the Duster and the GTO, you can see the RCMP officer sitting on his police car fender. His name was Ron and he was a pretty easy going guy. He wouldn't write a ticket unless you really pushed it with him.
