How's that shop coming along Bill. If need be, email me some pics and I will post them up for you?

PM for my email address.

Default Finally a garage again. Yes, big garage again..

Sorry for delays, with photof*cket (family friendly) trying to extort money this thread became frustrating. I understand raising your fees or starting to charge on free accounts but wouldn't you think it would be moving forward and not retroactive back to day one. I guess they will get their karma somehow..

So since I have no idea where I left off because I can't see any photos I am going to attach one with basically how it looks today. I am doing electrical and plumbing currently but that isn't real exciting to photograph so take my word for it.. All outside doors are now on so outside needs some finishing touches to building and landscaping but otherwise fairly complete.. Inside fun begins..

Wow...looking really good Bill. I like the art deco styling along the roofline. Just as an FYI..last pictures showed the interior framing and the garage openings within the shop.

Me's very jealous.

Default Finally a garage thats big enough again

The top was a concession with my better half that said the big box must have architectural links to main house. See attached you will see tops of the columns, etc.. have similar style.. out of the whole project she wanted the pop outs at top of walls and columns, a door with a texas star, awnings above windows(not on yet), and the front garage door had to be "special". I looked at copper, wood, you name it but found a local company that uses r20 insulated heavy garage door and puts a rusted and sealed panel on each section to get the look you can see in the previoius picture. she signed off and all I can say is it was cheaper than copper (ouch).

Very nice Bill, and I get the importance of the wife's input all too well. I drew up some plans for a new shop I want to build here and my wife wants the structure to match the brick on the house and for the jumbo cedar shake roof to match also. I amended the drawings to include a good comparison so it matches the house architecture and styling.

It will be built left and setback from the house at the back end of the left driveway. Hopefully in 2018 we'll get started with it.

Thats going to be really nice Norcam. Beautiful home and landscaping too. Your going to put the gas pumps and all out front? I thought about it because I wanted the portico to look like my granddads gas station from the 30s but the town council said I cant look commercial and that would be too much.. I may wait a while and do it anyways..

Thanks Eddie! The house is more tuscan style with lots of columns and such. Not italian but its my favorite food so I think thats the relation that drew me in.. lol..
