It's alive!
I finally buttoned up my new motor yesterday and fired it for the first time. Thankfully everything went off without a problem and I ended the day with a nice 25-30 mile cruise. I needed that...
The motor is a Gen 6 454 punched .030". I did a bunch of work to it and installed a Lunati roller cam and lifter set. Lift .625/.625 Duration 241/249 @.050. 9.5:1 with a Holley 850. She sure isn't the 408ci that I took out! I can tell when I eventually stretch her legs, she should have some real nice power. Now I can get back to finishing up the body so I can lay some paint at some point. Then again, I like a primer grey 69... For anyone that might want to see my build thread over on TC: http://www.camaros.net/forums/133-bu...post1783027169 I even took to her for a much needed and well deserved bath. No, the mud wasn't from my 69... Video:
