Default Reproduction 163 BB Aluminum Intake Manifold

I see that these are now available in reproduction. I'm helping someone with a 69 SS and am considering putting this on the car vs an aftermarket aluminum intake. Anyone have any experience with these? It seems like so many of the originals that are for sale have flaws or repairs.

Woj, there are a ton of OEM 163's out there. It's a great intake to go along with the best cam Chevy ever made (IMO), the 163 solid BB cam. That combo works very well

Phil, There is a guy named Chris on Team Chevelle that has used them although his was a low rise LS6 intake. His handle is MR4speed. He may be on here also. I remember a thread about him feeling no guilt in gutting the divider in a reproduction vs an original.http://www.chevelles.com/forums/13-p...o-intakes.html

Just picked up a nice used 163 manifold for $300. No visible flawsss.... yet. Hope it works out. Seller has a few interesting cars that he is going to sell. Interesting for now....
