Thank you to John Hill for the 69 Chevelle care package he recently sent me. Would not take any money in return. Thank you for the friendship John.

First let me say congrats on the purchase. Not sure how I missed this thread. Looking at the photos of the car from the article I didn't realize it needed a drivers quarter. Was this the incident called "front end damage"? Regardless great car and look forward to seeing the photos of it during the restoration. Also will you use a full NOS quarter or partial?

Darrell, when the owner hit 'something' in the nose is swung the car around and contacted it again on the driver's quarter and door. The damage was not that severe to the quarter but for reasons no one can explain he cut a large hole out as if trying to remove the regulator???? I have an NOS quarter for the car and it is yet undecided whether it will be fully replaced or just but weld in a patch panel and save the original sheet metal.

Jamie Cooper (Super Car Restorations) does all my body and paint so it will be the best that money can buy. We have spent hours going over the car and discussing our plan of attack, color over sprays, primers, caulking, etc. It will be perfect.

Sounds like you have it under control. Have you talked with the original owner about the car? I’m sure he’ll be pretty excited to see the car finished again. Assuming he is still around..

The original owner has sadly passed away. I am dealing with his best friend and family and yes they are very excited and all of them want to be at MCACN for the unveiling.

This sounds like something John Hill would do!
