Its not any problem to answer your questions.

290 head castings
11.1 after NHRA blueprinting


You might be interested in the pump gas GM headed (390 castings) 396 that's sits next to the D/SA 396 that makes 547 HP with its reliable solid lifter camshaft.

Can you expand on this? When I told people back around 2005 that my 396 L78 (actually a standard bore 1972 402 block, built to L78 specs) made about 575Hp. People laughed and that it was BS. BUT when it went 10.40 thru the mufflers in a stock chassis 1969 Nova, with 9" slick, 4.56 and M21, they thought twice. I did run a home-ported 291 head, Holley Strip dominator intake and comp .660 solid roller.
