Taking a break from shop renovations and been doing some car work (what a concept).
Recent tasks include a lot of media blasting so it was time to do some maintance on the blast cabinet. Have had this one since 1997.

New Led light strips.

And new gloves and window shield.

Would you please describe your Commercial Hollow Metal entrance door(s) so I can shop online for similar.

Do they swing out for security ???

Brand name etc

I want to replace my cheap wood (metal clad) swing in shop door with something like yours.

My shop is stick framed 2x6 with Cedar Lap Sided Exterior

Thanks

Chuck, we installed three of these doors, they are all 36x80 hung inside their own frame. The frame can be dismantled for install in an existing opening. The door frame can expand up to 10 inches.
It opens outward for security but primarily fire and building code. I think the brand is Accurate Door, which is a local manufacture. Its not carried by the big box stores. Ours were acquired locally though an outfit, Jacks Building Supplies. Additional hardware we installed were automatic closer and double Medeco locks.

Good luck with your plans.

Paul

I like your LED light strips. How do you think they're going to hold up? I'm going to "restore" my blast cabinet and lighting is one of the things I'd like to upgrade.

One option from the LED store was plastic covers to protect the strips. I am just going to use clear packaging tape that can be replaced when its gets clouded up. We have used Led strips before but they got damaged by a guest user.

Thanks. I'll have to see if I can get crafty. Even my glass viewing window gets hammered after a while.

Are you using plastic protective shields, available from Harbor freight and Eastwood.

Unfortunately it was already too late when I found out about them. I have a spare glass panel. When I go to change it out I'll pick up some of those protective shields.
