Default Possible 69 B/M Corvette project.

Not mine, just came across this and thought some here might be interested, if it is real.

http://www.musclecarhunters.com/69baldwinmotion.html

I haven't done any homework on it yet to see if it is real, but if someone on here buys this car I would love to do the restoration on it.

I am very skeptical on the fact that it is a motion car. Also, I love the pictures with the Cal Custom valve covers, and then the pictures with the shiny Motion valve covers.

Motion Corvettes have always had a strange following about them......when a customized, 240ZX headlight'ed, over-the-top, customized Seventies-era Corvette similar to this one this pops up for sale, people laugh and make fun of them and the era that produced such montrosities. That is until somebody produces Motion paperwork and then, all of a sudden, the car becomes cool and likeable! You either like a particular car style or you don't and an old receipt shouldn't change an opinion.

I just talked to the owner. He is a bit of a character. He is not all that interested in selling it. His son is the one that posted it. The owner told me that he was offered 100k and a restored 69 Vette. He turned it down because it was in the form of a check. He only wants cash so that there is no paper trail for taxes. As for the valve covers, the one Motion that is shown he polished it up and never got around to the other one. The old tarnished one is in the back of the car.

Me too. I just want to do restorations on cars like that. I will get one later.

I had heard about this car for years and was finaly able to look it over a few years ago. The only thing about it that looked like Motion is the back glass. The front looks like a modified Ecklers. No paperwork that I am aware of. It appears to me a low horse big block car. The guy that owns it is very odd and thinks it is worth 250+. My opinion is that it is not a Motion. But I also know enough about Motion to never say never.
