Default Buffer Question

A while back I purchased a Craftsman 7" buffer. Recently I hit the local paint shop and purchsed the 3M buffer pad attachment that should screw right onto the buffer. But Craftsman apparently decided to use a smaller threaded spindle than the 3M pad is threaded for.

Has anyone here found an adaptor to make this work? I'm thinking that I will try to make a double threaded sleeve to make the conversion, but if someone has already solved this problem I won't reinvent the wheel (no pun intended).

Thanks,

Blair

Default Re: Buffer Question

Never mind. Persistance has paid off. I just needed to use the right keyword for the search. If anyone else has had this problem here's the link.
