Default MCACN 2023: Premier Unveilings

Again this year we have a stellar group of Premier Unveilings for the upcoming Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show. A really diverse group, with some unexpected treasures.

As always, this will kick the show into "high gear" at 9:30 am Saturday morning.

We will also have several Walkaround Presentations for some of the very special cars, including the RTS 'cuda, Bob Perkins one-off 1971 Boss 302 (YES...302!) Mustang, A12 Pilots "507" and the Schenk Monte Carlo.

Here is a list, but not in the exact order:

1966 Oldsmobile “Dual Engine” Toronado. Yes…you read that right! This was an experimental car created back in the day, literally with TWO 455 engines. The predecessor to the Hurst Hairy Olds, this fully functional Toronado must be seen, (and you will) up close and in person. Owner: Joe Spagnoli, FL. Restored by MCACN Official Sponsor Garner Customs & Restorations, FL.

1968 Pontiac Firebird Ram Air II.
While the GTO may have received the most attention in ‘68, performance enthusiasts knew the new Ram Air II option for the Firebird would result in creating one of the hottest Pontiac Muscle Machines ever built. This is one of a mere 110 built and today among the most sought after and muscular Firebirds to ever leave the Norwood Assembly plant. Owner: Phil Mitchell, WA. Restored by MCACN Official Sponsor Level One, CO.

1968.5 Ford Torino GT Cobra Jet 428
Another true family affair, screen star David Sullivan pulled this one from his Fathers field in Texas to bring it back to life in his honor. His Dad bought this ultra rare Muscle Machine brand new, and never let it go. He certainly knew his way around an order sheet, as it has the 428 Cobra Jet under the hood and an impressive list of performance goodies. Join David and his family as they honor his Father. Owner: David Sullivan, CA. Restored by Billups Classic Cars, OK.

1969/2023 eXoMod D69 Daytona.
Imagine taking the latest in modern technology and combining it with what was the most outrageous wild, winged creation. That is what eXoMod is doing and this one takes it to another level. The full carbon fiber body is the tip of the iceberg; underneath is a full-on Hellcat drivetrain and of course, it has all the modern conveniences and so much more. This is the very first Winged eXoMod creation! Owner: Chuck Ceccarelli, Created by Rick Katzeff/eXoMod, W.V.

1969 Pontiac Trans Am
Most know that any ‘69 Trans Am is a rare beast, with just 697 built. Did you know that if you checked the right box, you could get a Ram Air IV 400 engine under the hood? That is what we have here and it is one of just 55 built. Now that is rare! This will take you back to ‘69, as it has been restored to as new/as delivered condition utilizing only original and N.O.S. parts. Truly the best of the best! Owner: Phil Mitchell, WA. Restored by MCACN Official Sponsor Level One, CO.

1969 Ford Mustang Mach I
The Garner Customs & Restorations team has clearly established themselves as being among the best in the country with numerous national awards. They have shown their diversity by restoring multiple brands over the years and this year you will find a gorgeous 1969 Mustang Mach I in their display. Owners Rusty & Michelle Maddox, FL. Restored by MCACN Official Sponsor Garner Customs & Restorations, FL.

1969 Pontiac GTO, The Judge
Of course, everyone recognizes The Judge. This one is really special, as it has the hot Ram Air IV engine under the hood, one of a mere 239! Certainly one of the most desirable Pontiac Muscle Cars ever built, and this one has been restored to absolute perfection. Owner: Phil Mitchell, WA. Restored by MCACN Official Sponsor Level One, CO.

1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
The 1969 Camaro is the favorite of many Muscle Car Fans. You could order a SS, an RS, a Z/28 or even an RS/SS. When a guy named Fred Gibb found out he could do some creative ordering through the Fleet COPO programs, he created a truly over the top car with an all aluminum 427 engine under the hood. The 427 ZL1 Camaros are among the rarest, most sought after and valuable American Muscle cars ever built. Just 69 were built and this may be the best! Owner: Phil Mitchell, WA. Restored by MCACN Official Sponsor Level One, CO.

1969 Oldsmobile 442
There may be nothing better than seeing a former MCACN Barn Find restored to its original beauty. That is what Keith and Debbie Stockberger and the Miller Auto team have done, again! This is what can be done when you have a group of talented and dedicated employees and car owners that will only settle for the best. The Miller team has presented some of the finest Premier Unveilings we have hosted over the past several years and again this year, they are prepared to maintain their reputation. Owners: Bill & Dianne Hancock, IN. Restored by MCACN Official Sponsor Miller Auto Care and Stock Restorations and Restomods, IN

1970 Plymouth Superbird 426 Hemi
The 426 Hemi Superbird is among the most sought after and coveted Muscle Cars of all time. Only 135 were built and as we all know, they certainly make a bold statement! This Alpine White beauty has been restored to as delivered perfection using only original and N.O.S. parts.Owner: Phil Mitchell, WA. Restored by MCACN Official Sponsor Apex Autosports, WI.

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 L78/L89 Hardtop
When it comes to rarity and desirability, the 1970 Chevelle SS L89 is near the top of the list. This highly documented L89 Hardtop is clearly among the finest in the world, restored by renowned Chevelle authority Rick Nelson. Owner: Phil Mitchell, WA. Restored by Muscle Car Restoration & Design, IL.

1970 Plymouth Superbird
You saw this one in our Barn Finds & Hidden Gems area last year. After years of trying, Brent and Jeff were finally able to acquire this car and add it to their fine collection. A true family affair, in addition to the Kultgen family, the original owner and members of his family will be joining us! This one is a 440-4-barrel with a 4-speed Pistol Grip shifter. Meet Big Bird! Owners: Brent & Jeff Kultgen, WI. Restored by MCACN Official Sponsor Midwest Muscle Car Restorations, WI.

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Convertible
This is another family affair in several ways. Mark and his brother are avid Mopar collectors from California. We met in Arizona several years ago. When they told me what was in their garage, I knew I had to invite them to join us! Fast forward to today. One of the cars they own is this Beautiful 440-4 barrel Challenger R/T convertible. It has undergone a complete and proper restoration returning it to exactly as it was when new. BTW: Mark purchased this car from our VIP Car Corral several years ago! Owner: Mark Hoffman, CA. Restored by Dave Mortensen, CA.

1970 Dodge Challenger T/A
Another prime example of true Mopar Muscle, but this time with a small block under the scooped fiberglass hood, topped off with a trio of Holleys! The current owner was with his Dad when he bought this T/A from Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge. Found in a barn just 15 miles from his home, this car was originally his Mothers daily driver! Talk about a family affair! You don’t want to miss this one. Owner: Chuck Wansedal, MI. Restored by PSI Motorsports MI.

1970 Plymouth Roadrunner Convertible
The Roadrunner is certainly among the most desired American Muscle Cars ever built. With the distinctive “beep-beep” horn and cartoon graphics, they are fun and fast. Check the box for the mighty 440-6 barrel and make it a convertible and you have something truly unique. Only 34 people checked the box for the 440-6 for the convertibles, and this is one of them! Restored and Shown by Dave Belcarz, MI.

1971 Plymouth Hemi ‘cuda
Many consider the Hemi ‘cuda the ultimate example of American Muscle. With only 108 built, you can rest assured this is the only one that is B5 Blue with the factory installed White Billboard stripes. Again, nothing but original and N.O.S. parts were used in the restoration, assuring it is among the finest in existence. Owner: Phil Mitchell, WA. Restored by MCACN Official Sponsor Apex Autosports, WI.

1971 Dodge Challenger R/T 440-6 Pack
Step back to 1971 and enter your favorite Dodge dealership. Sit down with the salesperson and order up a black Challenger R/T with a 440-6 pack, 4:10 gears and a 4-speed with the sole intent of going street racing. That is what Dennis Vitolo did! Realizing that what he had was a very special car, he somehow managed to not cut it up, and he held onto it. Recently the decision was made to bring it back to its original O.E. glory, meticulously restoring each and every part. No expense was spared and we are honored to present this car Saturday morning after a loooooong hibernation. Owner: Dennis Vitolo, FL. Restored by Creations by Gemza, N.C.

1992 Pontiac Firebird Firehawk
This is a very unique project of a continuation series of the original 91-92 Pontiac Firehawks. There were originally 25 of these highly sought cars built. There will only be a limited run of 25 cars in the new continuation series to match the original 25 cars ever sold. We are honored to host the Premier Unveiling of Job #1. Owner: Bruce Hawkins, S.C., Built by Hawks Motorsports, S.C.

2023 Chevrolet Nickey Stage III Supercar
While technically not a restoration, this car has been pretty much built from the ground up to be the ultimate Modern Day Supercar. With a full Nickey Performance Stage III package and a long list of additional mods, this one produces well over 1,200 horsepower, yet can be driven daily on the street. In addition to what's under the hood, it has numerous suspension mods that allow it to corner like an exotic and believe me, it will keep up (and pass!) nearly anything on four wheels. Owner: Ryan Snyder, FL. Built by MCACN Official Sponsor Nickey Performance, IL.

Please plan on joining us and help us spread the word!

THANKS:

Bashton
