Default 3964290 Big Block Chevy Cylinder Heads 1970 Oval Port FRESH

This is a fresh pair of 3964290 cylinder heads for a Big Block Chevy engine. These were used on 1970 oval port applications. One is dated J 11 9 and the other is dated C 4 70.

These heads are freshly built and have not been used since being completely gone through. They were bolted on an engine and removed before the engine was ever started. The heads have all new guides, hardened seats throughout, positive style valve seals, new stainless valves, new springs, Manley guide plates, and new rockers. The exhaust ports have some surface corrosion. I pulled the valves on the chamber that had the most exhaust port corrosion and the seats are still excellent. I will even include the new head bolts.

$800

I also have a nice used set of 3904290 heads dated L 18 9 and L 29 9. They look to be fairly fresh and have hardened exhaust seats. Those are $600.

Thanks,

Jason

Here are pictures of the used pair. They look like they could be cleaned up and bolted on. I pulled the valves out of one chamber to confirm what the seats were. The guides seem tight.

Thanks,

Jason

I tried sending you a message but I do not think they are going out. I am interested in the J228 840 head you had on Ebay if it is still available. John 6303338333

John,

I was on vacation and just got back. I responded to your PM.

On the J 69 and C 70 heads: Are they stock sized valves and were they milled at all? I'm trying to decide whether I should have a set of 290s I have done or buy another set. Thanks.

They are stock valve sizes. I don't know for sure if they have been surfaced but I can say the deck surface is still very thick.
