Default Opinion of Value... 66 Impala SS 427

Hi guys!
Went to visit with a guy the other day that had a few cars for sale. I went specifically to look at a 70 SS Nova but when I got there I noticed a 66 Impala SS 427 and the gentleman said he would sell. It really caught my eye. The car is Marina Blue , numbers matching 427, 400 Auto trans, and rear, all original panels and floors with an outstanding repaint. Pretty neat options also...factory ac car, power windows, telescopic wheel. The interior is all original and near flawless. Here is my question... what is it worth. I have never been big into Impalas but I realize this one is very cool and rare especially being all numbers matching and all original panels. The seller feels it’s worth 35K. Just looking to see what you all think. Thanks!

Not too many 66 Impalas bring numbers like that, but an exceptional SS 427 in Marina Blue with lots of options seems worthy of the number. I think its a fair ask based on your description.

Default 66

Any paperwork, pic of trim tag? Like to see what they have at least to determine originality?

For clarity, I think the SS427 was not a model yet for the 1966 year? RPO Z-24. All 66 Impala's with the SS and 427ci were Impala SS's with the 427 (I know a small distinction).

That being said, couldn't you get the L72 in 66? Which 427 it has would make a difference in value I would think.

Would look something like this:

A factory A/C car and auto trans would rule out the L72. Must be 385 H.P. 427...

Thank you very much for helping post the pics. The guy has the correct air cleaner assembly and correct rally wheels.
