Default Lenny Morud's 69 Yenko Camaro

In the August 1983 issue of Super Chevy there is a black and white feature of Lenny Morud's 69 Yenko Camaro from Rockford IL. The article doesn't say what color it is, but it appears to be Fathom Green. It has locking hood pins, style trim group (possible X11 car), Rallys, Goodyear Wingfoot radials and an IL plate that says YENKO. The interior was all original with the 140 mph speedometer. The story says it has the original engine, but it has a lot of aftermarket additions along with a T-10 transmission. Does anybody know which car this is in the registry and if it is still around?

Yes Lenny's Camaro is still around. I have the IL YENKO plate Lenny used to have on his Yenko. It is a hugger orange car, non style trim. Lenny sold the car back in the '90s. It went to Minn where it was restored with white stripes, originally they were black. The car went to the west coast and now resides in a collection on the east coast.

Lenny definitely had fun in the car. He ran it hard and liked the T10 but kept the original trans. He once brought the driveshaft to be repaired after running the car hard as usual. Lenny told me when he picked up the driveshaft the shop owner came out to shake his hand, he had never seen a driveshaft twisted 180 like Lenny had done!

Mark was that car painted blue when he sold it. I went to look at a Yenko around the clock tower in the 90s it was blue but you could see rhe orange under it.

It had to be around 1984 because it was right before I bought my HO Yenko. I remember the car was apart engine parts were in the trunk and it was lemans blue but under the trunk seal it was hugger orange. I do not remember anything about the trim tag info to know if was a rel HO car. It was in the Rockford area real close to the clock tower.
