Default Receipt I have for the motor in my Camaro.

I purchased a 70 Z28 Camaro and it had this Nickey counter motor in it along with a Ramcharges built TH400.

How bout some pics. Must be a neat car since it looks like Nickey dropped a 427 into it.

Dale Kidd, was the person that bought the counter motor. He initially installed it in a 55 Chevy and raced it at Oswego Dragstrip. He then transplanted it in this 70 Z28 which never made it to the track and I found it in a one car garage many years later. I purchased the car and put the motor in my 73 Z28 which can be seen at Gearheads Homepage

That looks like T0709ID on the engine code on the receipt. That would be a 427/425 motor from 66-68. I thought the ZLX 427 was a 70's motor. Just curious, what is the casting date on the motor? That's pretty cool having the receipt from Nickey.

I've either seen a receipt like that before, or that receipt. It also showed a ZLX motor being sold through Nickey. In my one and only conversation with Joel Rosen we discussed ZLX heads and what they were. I also asked about the recieipt I had seen from Nickey referencing ZLX motors. He was not very complementary about Nickey, non did he think what they were calling ZLX was even remotley close to what he was doing. He seemed kinda irritated about it. What is the casting# on the heads?

Dale told me the aluminum heads got busted up really bad and he replaced them with a set of 990's. So I have no idea what the numbers would have been. I am sorry I have not replied earlier about the casting numbers on the block. I will make a note to write them down this weekend and post them.
