Default 1967 Beaumont Sport Deluxe convertible

Original Canadian documented 1967 Beaumont SD (Sport Deluxe) convertible. Originally Nantucket Blue with blue bucket/console interior, L34 396, M20 4-speed. Has non-matching 1967 vintage 396 motor and 4-speed. New flo-master exhaust, mechanically intact as a driver… but will need a total restoration including floors, trunk, quarters, etc. I’m posting a photo of the GM of Canada documentation. It still retains all the original SD only tail panel trim, sport deluxe emblems on the trunk lid and above the glove box, but its missing the quarter panel script (reproductions are now available). You’ll notice that someone has put the wrong quarter gills on it (reproductions also available), and it's missing the original big block hood. I also have a very intact 67 Beaumont parts car that goes with it. It’s available for $25k Canadian. Seriously interested parties can call Helmut at (403) 803-3879.

FYI.... sYc mambers, Helmut is one if the most honest and real car guy I have ever had the privledge of doing business with.....his word is Gold. A very humble straight shooter.

Helmut, hope she finds a new home....one that will restore her. This is one car that deserves a great restoration, a no brainer. You must have your eye on something else to be letting this one go? Perhaps a "Post Car"

Dan.

Cool ride and you certainly don't see those around.

Hey Dan, you seem to perseverate on "post" cars. Do you like them or something?

The production numbers on the GM documents are misleading. There were only 70 1967 SD convertibles built and only 8 or 10 known to exist now. There is a red one in New York that belongs to a member here.

Sweet piece Helmut!.

I know we touched on this previously but is there known fact of how/when the SD's were delivered w/ the flat or bumpy hoods...early/late?. And the '66's...flat only?.
Also L35 was the best it got, right...no L34's or L78's?.
What do you know on this Mac?.

I remember one of these around town here...last saw it in the early 80's I think?. Do you remember it Keith...had a Chevy bowtie shaped back window?.

325, 350 and 360 hp engines were available in these cars but there were no 375 hp cars. I have read a little about these cars and believe the following statements are true. The first part of 1966 SD was just a trim package and the cars had small blocks . Later in the year it became a performance package with the 396 as part of the package. I'm not sure of the exact production numbers for all years but I do know that there were less than 2000 big block Beaumonts built. I know the production numbers for 1967 SDs are 70 convertibles and 451 coupes and for 1968 there were 65 convertibles and 702 coupes. There were no 1969 SD convertibles. I believe there are a couple members here that own Beaumont SDs.
