[/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure where you buy your parts or have your restoration work done, but please send me the information. A top restoration (parts/labor/materials) will run LOTS, LOTS more than $40K. This is a trap that a lot of people fall into. Cool car, but unless you have the time and talent to do all or most of your own work, you will be upside down real quick. I think anyone on this board who has had a car in this condition restored will agree. For a common muscle car like a 69 Z/28 you are always ahead financially if you buy a finished car, provided of course you can come up with the upfront $$'s. Of course a lot of the fun of this hobby is the journey and not about the $$'s, but it is hard to ignore the financial implications especially if you are married and want to stay that way. Will make a good project for someone and a cool car once finished. |

Re: Anyone need a project?
I'd say $80K to restore, plus the cost of the car, would be a more accurate estimation.

Re: Anyone need a project?
Agreed, but there's lots of profit in that 80k for someone writing a check for a "top shelf" restoration- I posted it more for the folks here that do there own cars and might find it neat car to save. The guy does have quite lot of parts already plus the original window sticker& POP but I think the block is a re stamp-

Why do you think it is a restamp? [/ QUOTE ] The seller does not give you a close-up picture of the stamping but as blind as I am I can even see they are not correct. Did you see the size of those numbers?!!! I would want a better picture but I bet that it is a restamp...........RatPack................ |
