Rusted Development thoughts?
What are your thoughts on this show? Compared to Fast N Loud and others that are out there. Realistic? I kind of dig it.

Re: Rusted Development thoughts?
I like it but have a hard time believing they loose so much money on some of the builds. Also do not like some of the guys taking advantage of them. They are making the deals, but some of the guys do not let them know they have more. Is this fake drama like so many other shows produce? But overall a good show

Re: Rusted Development thoughts?
The concept is great, but I see the same scenario playing out in every episode. The owner doesn't want to give up the cars, the cars aren't worth enough for the build, and it all works out in the end. The car that Rick Dore built for Metallica was amazing.

Re: Rusted Development thoughts?
Yeah, I see the same drama, but, it works out in the end. If it, or any other show for that matter, is real, show the parts where it doesn't work out. Do you think that engineer really had 500 some cars out in the desert?

Re: Rusted Development thoughts?
I watch a lot of those car shows like RD and I am too, tired of the drama and maybe someone should tell them that they don't need all that to make people watch. But, maybe that's only for true car guys who would love to see more of the actual work being performed and less their wives who seem to like the drama (with exceptions, of course and I'm stereotyping here, I know).
I do like seeing Rick Dore and his thought process being developed and finished into usually pretty killer designs, and the ex-wrestler guy seems decent and sincere.

Re: Rusted Development thoughts?
Wow, that actually kinda surprises me about the car hoarders..........having been a medic years ago, I saw "regular hoarders," but didnt think there would be that many with cars.........agree about seeing Rick and his thought process. Kinda like someone that does interior or exterior design. Me, I cant imagine that much

Re: Rusted Development thoughts?
The best car show...most realistic..and no made up drama...is Chasing Classic Cars.

Re: Rusted Development thoughts?
Real car guys appreciate seeing work done well. I do not like the finished cars on Overhaulin, but I REALLY respect the work and the quality of the cars. Chasing Classic Cars has made me interested in cars I would have never thought about. Roger is a great American treasure. You can not get real world experience like he has. Dallas Car Sharks is really bad. I watched a guy find the fender for the Blazer he was working on in a junk yard. I laugh at bad production like that. The show covered the fender in shoe polish so it did not look like it was off the Blazer, but it even had the body molding they needed on it. another episode when they each bought a Mustang, there was a blue fastback freshly painted but scuffed to look bad with spray paint on it. The buffed the car and WOW it looks great. This is where Velocity is missing the boat. They do not understand we see right through it. I do like watching Barrett Jackson seeing my wifes uncle on stage, he is retired FBI and works for them and Daytona Speedway in his retirement.
