Default 1973 455 Super Duty Dyno Results

Thought i would share some info on a recent Dyno study.
Engine SD 455 .005 over clean up W/ torque plate
increased compression from a calibrated 8.6to1 to 9.0 to1
original camshaft was 226 236 .410 114
new camshaft 221 232 .500 112
heads#16 completely stock
original exhaust manifolds,LS intake, 240 Q jet, 208 Dist.
Full Balance and Blueprint Build.
Torque @ 3800 485
Horse Power @ 5200 415

Good swap on the cam. Bet that torque curve was real broad?

Ken,any reason for not going up a touch on duration also?Those engine seem to really like the 230-236 range along with the added lift?Tom

I wanted to keep it all stock with a smooth idle. Tightening up the lobe center already added overlap.
