Thanks. correct, coded 4p. After NCRS report , contacted Jerry Macneish , he confirmed to be z28 . List as 222 car in the registry.

When we loaded the car up to bring it home Kirt & I noticed a curious detail on an assumed SS car. We noticed the lack of a gas cap retaining stud hole on an original muncie 4 speed car. In other words the gas filler pipe had all 4 of its retaining screws in place meaning a standard ( non RS or SS ) gas cap. We decided to research it further, contact J.M. and John Mello to get their opinions. After sending more proof we were presented with the good news. If it had been RS equipped we would have had no clue this was anything other than an SS. To think this car was a minute detail away from being lost forever. |
