Sunderland bought the dealership from Sausman, just not sure in what year - I thought it was '68'ish....

Is there any hope that B-Body data might become available at some point?

That is the 69 dealer code for Sausman. They had three different ones that I have seen. It changed in 68 then again in 69.

I don't have 497 in my database have 496 as Sausman also. Have 499 as Larry Murphy Chevrolet.
I'll see what I can find for Sausman ads and address changes.
Ads I see for them in 1964 placed them at 717 Market, an ad for 1969 had the same address

See below, Maybe he can help?

I imagine there was not enough interest or pressure placed on the GM Heritage center to make a deal with any interested parties for the Full Size or the Corvairs. Chevy Muscle docs a division of NCRS as we all know has the information for Chevelles, Novas and Camaros at this point. Warren, perhaps you can find the contact at GM Heritage who has the information on our cars and we can begin working with them to supply the information to others as NCRS did? Maybe Kurt and William from CRG know who is supplying NCRS with their data.

Let me know..

Paul

Has to be a mistake with Sausman, there would be no reason to have different dealer codes at the exact same address. There should be either a change of address or a change of ownership to initiate another dealer code?

I copied the codes right off the docs. A mistake seems unlikely. I've seen this before. Emrick Chevrolet in Richmond VA. Same address but I've seen both dealer codes 210 and 211 used in 66.

I've seen this before too, when business sold but dealer name/location retained and next code # luckily available so alphabetical order unchanged but both codes operating for inventory sale/warranty purposes during transition.
Some dealers owned and operated w/ more than one code at one location, after buying out a competitor for example and both codes flowing enough to keep their right to building the next dealership in the area or using a separate # for Fleet purchases/sales only etc?
Other reasons sometimes frowned upon could include processing more warranty work through one # to help the other look better also pre sale transfers between codes to help meet inventory/sold unit agreements?
