Default Thoughts on this 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix??

Hello All,
My friend has an opportunity to buy this '70 GP, was wondering what some opinions are on value, collectability etc.
I'm not that experienced on Pontiacs, but this seems cool with no A/C, buckets & console.
Solid & straight CA car, been repainted, not very good job but would make a fun driver?
Appreciate any input- My buddy is thinking he can get it below $5,000.00
Seems like he can't go wrong at that price. supposed to run/drive well.
Buying from widow who has no need for car.
Thoughts?

Jerry,

I have been watching a few GP's lately and if your buddy can buy it for $5,000 or less, that is a smoking deal.

Here is how I look at it.......what sort of late 60's to early 70's original car can you buy for $5,000? Nothing exactly.

Buy the car and drive the damn thing....lol. I miss seeing these cars on the road anymore.

Paul

If he can get it at or below $5K, it's a no-brainer. From what I've been told, Interior parts are unobtainium for these cars so if all the interior components are in good shape, then that's a big plus.

He's be crazy to not buy it at that price! Love no AC or radio with power windows and cruise control, a very interesting car imo.

I had a Triple White 74 GP, and it was a great car. Had a detuned 400Cu In engine, but it would still get up and go.
