The first 70 Camaros hit the showroom in Feb. '70 right? Not sure when L78 became available but any '69 assembly date strikes me as a little early for a '70 Camaro L78.
Others might chime in with known '70 L78 dates of production...when was yours built? Most I've seen are May/june

The dates sound Nova & Chevelle specific to me.
Also whats the VIN?...as 1970 Camaros started with number 5,while Novas & Chevelles started with the number 1. |

I'm looking for a Nov. cast with Feb. assy. CKO for a Nova. I would pay $3500.

My old 1970 L78 Camaro was an early car with a late 69 dated CKO motor. It was the original motor with the VIN by the oil flange.

I've misplaced my paper that has the CKO dates with eng at my storage garage.
No facts to prove, but I'm thinking many CKO's were assembled in late 69' with installs stretching deep into the 1970 Model line.... My 1970 Norwood L-78 was mfg 01C (3rd week of Jan) (one of the first 70 L-78 Camaros ??)

My missing CKO block was cast K 11 9 and assembled 2/12/70.
