Default steering column date code

Hi ,
I thought I knew at one time how to read the date code on the column but now I can not seem to make sense of it https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...t/confused.gif
the #s are 7B 272 E1
I think that is the 272 day of 67 but not sure about the B or E1
or am I all wrong which seems to happen alot any more https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ault/blush.gif
Any one know ? I seem to remember seeing how to decode it somewhere but can not seem to find any thing
Thanks David

How can I figure out what those line codes are? I've heard of F, H, and X bodys and so on, but what is an E1 line code? I've got some columns that I'd like to figure out too.

I think that's production line, not product line.

Kurts' right, and my earlier reply should actually be for last digit of the year assembled,(the column as a whole that is),not when installed into the vehicle.
Line codes are random for Delco-Remy and have no bearing on a specific vehicle.Meant more for quality control then anything else.
